Vidyasagar Institute of Health, named after the 19th century legendary, pioneering social reformer, activist, and dedicated to the cause of upliftment of women, Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, has committed itself, since its inception, to its motto of Siksha, Swasthya and Progress by ensuring quality education and rendering health services guided by its principle Work with smile, Work with Heart‘ to the students and community as a whole. The college started functioning from 19th Dec‘2002 with the undergraduate courses in Medical Laboratory Technology and Physiotherapy (BPT). Later on, post. graduate courses in Nutrition and Dietetics (2006-07) and Physiotherapy (MPT) (2008-09) and undergraduate course in Nutrition (H) (2008-09) were introduced.
